Community Enhancement Program Board
The Town of Cape Charles Community Enhancement Program is based on the Virginia Main Street Program.   The Virginia Main Street Program is a preservation-based economic and community development program that follows the National Main Street Center’s Main Street Approach™.  Virginia Main Street offers a range of services and assistance to meet the variety of needs of communities interested in revitalization.

On July 6, 2017, the Cape Charles Town Council appointed a Community Enhancement Program Board.  The Board is initially charged with hiring a Community Enhancement Program Manager to assist them with organizing the program and applying to become a Virginia Main Street Community Affiliate.

The Community Enhancement Program is organized to stimulate revitalization in the town of Cape Charles through organization (encouraging cooperation and building leadership in the business and residential community); promotion (creating a positive image for the town of Cape Charles by promoting the town as an exciting place to live, shop and  invest); design (improving the appearance of the town); and to receive, administer and distribute funds in connection with any activities related to the above purposes.
